Aki's Thoughts,  The Work of Byron Katie

I Don’t Need Him To Love Me

I was facilitating my client on a concept, “I need him to love me”.

This is so familiar to me.

She said to me that when her boyfriend left, she felt so alone, wanting to kill herself.

I can relate to this feeling very much!!

It came from my childhood loneliness.  I need my parents to love me.

I needed them to fill up my emptiness, but since they failed, I was looking for someone else to do the job.

When I got married, I felt so relieved

because I thought he will keep filling up my emptiness until we die.

That means I don’t have to do the job.

When he left me, I was devastated.

I didn’t believe I can fill up my emptiness.

However, f I can fill up my emptiness whether someone is with me or not,

then I don’t need anyone to cling to.

I can be free, and he can be free.

That kind of relationship is what I want!

How about you?

Do you want someone to love you

or do you want you to love you?

Sending you all great love,

Aki
